Every business is different and unique and requires a discussion before I propose an exact price. That being said, my base cost for bookkeeping services:
Ongoing monthly bookkeeping:$350 per month
Cleanup/catch-up bookkeeping:$200 per month
The base cost includes:
Up to 50 transactions categorized monthly
Up to 2 accounts reconciled
Monthly Financial Reports
Reports provided annually for tax prep
Monthly phone call, video chat, or pre-recorded video based on your preference
Unlimited contact with me via text or email
I charge monthly flat rates. That way you can properly prepare your budget for my services and have no surprises when you receive my invoice.
For monthly ongoing bookkeeping, no. For larger, more expensive cleanups/catchups I do offer an installment plan that does require you to remain with me an equal amount of months as the installment plan.
To get you set up, I'll typically need access to your business bank and credit card accounts (read-only access preferably), your prior financial statements or tax returns if you have them, a list of any outstanding invoices or bills, and basic business details like your entity type and EIN. If you're switching from another bookkeeper or doing this yourself, I'll also want access to your current books so we can transition smoothly.
A bookkeeper handles the day-to-day recording of your financial transactions — categorizing expenses, reconciling bank accounts, tracking income, and keeping your books accurate and up to date. A CPA typically works at a higher level: preparing and filing tax returns, offering tax strategy advice, and handling more complex financial planning or audits. Think of it this way — a bookkeeper keeps your financial records clean and current throughout the year, while a CPA uses those records to file your taxes and provide strategic guidance. Many businesses use both, and I'm happy to work directly with your CPA to make tax time easier.
Absolutely — I regularly work alongside clients' existing CPAs and accountants. I'll keep your books accurate and organized throughout the year, then provide clean, ready-to-use financial records and statements to your CPA at tax time, which saves everyone time and reduces the back-and-forth. I'm happy to communicate directly with your accountant whenever needed to make sure everything lines up.
I offer payroll as a small add-on service for clients who need basic payroll processing alongside their bookkeeping. If your payroll needs are more complex — multiple states, a large number of employees, or specialized compliance requirements — I can recommend a dedicated payroll provider and make sure everything stays in sync with your books.
Yes — I prepare standard financial statements as part of your ongoing bookkeeping, including your profit & loss statement (income statement), balance sheet, and cash flow statement. These are typically updated monthly or quarterly, depending on your service plan, so you always have a clear, current picture of your business's financial health. If you need statements for a specific purpose — like applying for a loan or bringing in an investor — just let me know and I can put together what's needed.
As long as your accounts are linked to your software, I will be working through your transactions consistently throughout the month to give you a clear look at your financial situation when you need to.
I always use personal wi-fi (home or personal mobile hotspot) with 256 bit VPN encryption to make sure your data is as secure as possible. I also use a secure password manager and use strong unique passwords whenever possible.
